Kagiso united against cancer

Residents and NGOs held a walk in Kagiso in unity against cancer.

Although October has ended, it does not mean the awareness around cancer, particularly breast cancer has to.

Just recently, many residents gathered in Kagiso to raise their voices for this exact cause, and to show their support, the community held a walk. Numerous NGOs were involved and the organisers not only hoped to provide awareness but also aimed to educate the public on how to live healthier lifestyles.

There is also a growing concern that most women present with late-stage cancers and keeping this in mind, the organisers also wanted to encourage young women and girls to be very conscious about their health.

Over 100 people took part in the initiative.

”There are over 100 girls and women who joined this walk. We want to ensure they are educated about the disease because if you’re not infected you’re definitely affected,” Joyce concluded.
