Pro-Practicum boasts with sporting achievements

Pro-Practicum School in Boltonia proudly shared their achievements after having excelled in various sporting codes.

The learners from Pro-Practicum School can proudly boast about their recent sports achievements.

At the recent SA Cross Country Championships, learners from Pro-Practicum, who were in the Gauteng team, achieved the following places.

The learners from Pro-Practicum who formed part of the Gauteng LSEN athletics team are Anuschka Visser (head of the department), Masego Mogale, Robin Tshabalala, Chantel Jika, Batsetsana Kotsi, Sonika Mjekula and coach Melanie de Wit. In the back is Philip Mouwers, Thabang Maboe and Emmanuel Mohale.

Batsetsana Kotsi came fifth in the girls’ U15, Reanetsle Ndlulula came 11th for the boys’ U15, Bongani Makhubele finished fifth for the boys’ U14, Robin Tshabalala finished sixth for the girls’ U17, Sonika Mjekula finished fourth for the girls’ U16, Thabang Maboe finished first for the boys’ U15, Siphostile Sixbune finished 11th for the boys’ U16, Masego Mogale finished first for the girls’ U19, Keamogetswe Mthlali finished sixth for the boys’ U17 and Thabo Samane competed for the boys’ U15.

Anthony Crocker, Earl Kock, Jason Clark, Damian Lynch, Jonathine Koen, Johan Welman and Anton Mertz (principal).

Thati Ratshidi, Philia Mhumane, and Masego Mogale were chosen at the inter-district netball trials to compete in the Gauteng trials. Philia went to the final trials but was unfortunately not chosen for the Gauteng team.

The Pro-Practicum learners who formed part of the Gauteng team and competed in the SA Cross Country championships are in front Esmerelda Lingenvelder (coach), Batsetsana Kotsi, Reanetsle Ndlulula, Bongani Makhubele, Robin Tshabalala and Sonika Mjekula. In the back are Johan Welman (coach), Thabang Maboe, Siphostile Sixbune, Masego Mogale, Keamogetswe Mthlali, Thabo Samane and Jacques Joubert (coach).

These athletes from Pro-Practicum were then part of the Gauteng Learners with Special Education Needs (LSEN) athletics team while four rugby boys were chosen as part of the Gauteng Lions Rugby Union LSEN team. These boys are Karabo Modiba, Oarabile Thatlhedi, Thapelo Segooa and Damian Lynch.

The Pro-Practicum cricket team is in front Earl de Kock, Orabile Nxumalo, Liyema Nyabaza, Anthony Crocker, Mitchel van Heerden, Kghotso Lepeele and Jason Clark. In the back are Damian Lynch, Rodriquez Ellis (deputy principal) Brian de Jager, Jerome Mphuti, Anele Gali, Cameron Coetzee, Jonathine Koen, A Mertz and Alex Mthembu. In the second back row is Johan Welman (coach).

The cricket team from Pro-Practicum also left their competitors in the dust by becoming the All Gauteng Regional/ Provincial cricket winners.

These boys were chosen for the LSEN Golden Lions rugby team. From left are Louis Brookshaw (coach), Karabo Modiba, Oarabile Thatlhedi, Thapelo Segooa, Damian Lynch, Anton Merts (principal) and Rodriquez Ellis (deputy principal).

In addition, Earl Cock, Jason Clark, Damian Lynch, and Jonathine Koen was chosen for the Gauteng Lions cricket team.
