Journalist attacked during taxi association drama at Mogale’s rank

If taxi drivers have their way, passengers will soon have to pay for two trips to get from Kagiso to Cradlestone.

Community members making use of taxi transport will have to brace themselves for an increase in travelling costs if the taxi associations have their way.

“Commuters travelling from Kagiso to Cradlestone would have to take two trips instead of one. Taxi associations want to scrap the current single trip from Kagiso to Cradlestone,” read a statement from the Mzansi Commuters Association’s media liaison officer, Khela Mdlalose.

This means that commuters will instead have to travel from Kagiso to the Mogale City taxi rank and then take another taxi to Cradlestone.

In addition, commuters will have to fork out for two trips, and they will have no say or choice in the matter.

“They will simply be dragged into submission. They will have to pay more during this difficult period in the country’s economy.”
