A voice note doing the rounds said it will take an estimated four hours to clear.

According to Major General Fred Kekana, the West Rand District Police Commissioner, the driver of a mobile crane was allegedly travelling down the R28 toward the intersection. It collided with vehicles waiting at the traffic light.

One of the vehicles it crashed into was that of Thando Hlongwane, a radiographer. Hlongwane miraculously survived the crash with only a hand injury.

The News has since been informed that two of the deceased were children who were occupants in the taxi while the third deceased was the crane driver. Kekana added that 20 people were injured in the crash and all roleplayers are on scene.

At the moment they are busy with the investigation and once that is complete, the cleaning of the scence will commence.
