Wild Africa Experiences and Walter Sisulu Botanical Garden host hike for conservation

The annual Black Eagle Mountain run was yet another great success at the botanical gardens.

Trail runners and hikers embraced the splendour of nature and all it offers.

In conjunction with the Proteadal Conservation Association (PCA), Wild Africa Experiences hosted the 2023 Black Eagle Mountain Run on September 9. Adventurers completed 16, 8, or 2.5kms courses that snake through the beautiful Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden with all entry fees gathered going to PCA and nature conservation.

The experts from Black Eagle Project Roodekrans set up their telescopes to give attendees a first-hand look at the resident-winged celebrities.

Live music welcomed the hikers across the finish line as they received a unique memento, a medal made of alien trees removed from the surrounding nature reserve.
