C’mon, take the #NoBloodOnOurHands pledge

Children from Appelpark in Krugersdorp West were recently treated to a fun day where they learned about human rights, and bullying and took the #NoBloodOnOurHands pledge.

The Appelpark community was abuzz again recently when several organisations visited the children to have a fun and education-filled day with them.

Ambassador for ProjectRage Sandra da Mata explained that on Sunday, March 19 they took hands with Unveiled Church, Belly2Brain, and Toekoms Venster to uplift the area.

She explained that the Appelpark community is looked after by Jannie Pelser and the Toekoms Venster non-profit organisation. The teams visited the area to have a service with the kids, and talk about gender-based violence (GBV) and every child also received a hotdog and sweet pack.

On Sunday, 19 March the members of the Unveiled Church got into the kitchen to make 150 hot dogs with the help of a sponsorship from Hennies in Krugersdorp. Dominique Tibbles and her team from Belly2Brain did the service which focused on human rights, loving each other, and not being bullies and Sandra brought attention to saying No to GBV. They also did a pledge with the children and this year the Project Rage theme is #NoBloodOnOurHands.

Sandra da Mata and Tahlia Jardim are both ambassadors for Project Rage.

More than 100 children and 10 grown-ups excluding the teams benefited from the visit. Everyone also had to write a message of love and encouragement on a piece of paper and give it to someone else in the park.

Sandra said that anyone is welcome to take the #NoBloodOnOurHands pledge by just going to www.projectrage.net.

As Toekoms Venster already has many organisations that help them the team will be on a ministry rotation every six weeks to provide a service and meal to the Appelpark community.
