Two arrested following Sunday assault and house robbery

'The victims were attacked by two unknown men - one was armed with a cricket bat and one with a firearm' - Krugersdorp Police.

This past Sunday almost turned deadly for a family from West Village, yet two men will not get away with it as they will be appearing in court today (November 29) on charges of house robbery.

Krugersdorp Police spokesperson Captain Raymond Sebonyane said in a statement that the suspects, aged 19 and 22, will be appearing in the Krugersdorp Magistrate’s Court sometime today.

He said the men were arrested after the house robbery incident that took place in Mark Cresent Street in West Village on Sunday November 27.

“The victims were attacked by two unknown men – one was armed with a cricket bat and one with a firearm. The suspects assaulted everyone who were in the house. The suspects then took an undisclosed amount of cash. The police were called and a case of house robbery was opened.”
