Power outages all over town
Power outages around town in the early morning are being restored.
Large parts of Mogale City have been experiencing a power outage since early this morning, July 4.
From about 04:39, the affected areas were Monument, parts of Wentworth Park, Kenmare, Krugersdorp West, Lewisham, Luipaardsvlei, parts of Krugersdorp North, Rangeview, Noordheuwel, Burgershoop, Breaunanda, Silverfields, Oatlands, Wildtuinpark and parts Rant-en-Dal.
“Eskom’s meter panel four is off. It is from their side and they are waiting for technical support,” ward councillor Amy Steyn revealed before 7:00 this morning.
By 08:51, Steyn said some areas’ power was restored and Mogale City Local Municipality and Eskom were still busy on site.
An update was received by Steyn at 10:05, confirming that a cable burnt at the Condale substation, and that no time frame was given.
