Mogale City Local Municipality’s new Mayor Councillor Danny Thupane, from the African Transformation Movement (ATM) has appointed 10 new members for his mayoral committee to help him execute his duties.
A statement from municipal spokesperson Nkosana Zali stated that the team is made up of the ATM, the ANC and EFF.

The councillors chosen are:
• Doreen David (ANC) – Finance
• Kholeka Mandyu (EFF) – Corporate Support Services
• Peter Modise (ANC) – Utilities
• John Koboekae (EFF) – Public Works, Roads and Transport
• Merriam Mogoje (ANC) – Human Settlements, Real Estate and Rural Development
• Francis Makgatho (ANC) – Public Safety
• Wonderful Segolodi (EFF) – Social Development and Health
• Kefilwe Modiko (ANC) – Sports, Heritage, Recreation, Arts & Culture
• Xolile Mkruquli (EFF) – Integrated Environmental Management
• Nyakallo Segapela (ANC) – Local Economic Development
We are ready to make a positive, meaningful and lasting impact in the lives of residents of Mogale City because we now have a fully-fledged team of committed compatriots,” said Thupane on the sidelines of the 2023/ 2024 Integrated Development Plan/ Budget which the statement said have started in earnest two weeks ago and are allegedly proceeding smoothly.
While talking about the recent IDPs, he added, “The people of the city have shown great enthusiasm and passion during engagements in these public meetings and the Government of Local Unity cannot fail them.”
