Man wanted for questioning in rape case

West Rand Police released an identity kit of a man wanted for questioning relating to a rape case in Khutsong.

Police are appealing to members of the public from across the West Rand to help locate a man wanted for questioning in a rape case.

According to West Rand District Police spokesperson Captain Solomon Sibiya, the suspect had a scar above his left eyebrow wearing a blue tracksuit, black T-shirt, thin gold chain around the neck, yellow beanie, and a black denim jacket at the time of the crime. The suspect was also speaking isiXhosa and is believed to be known in the area.

“The victim said that the man took her to an abandoned house in Khutsong Ext 5 where upon arrival he used illegal drugs. The victim claims to also be forced to use drugs and then raped thereafter. Furthermore, the suspect took the victim’s handbag and cellphone before he left.”
