Motorist arrested for interfering with VIP’s convoy

A motorist is in hot water with the law for interfering with the convoy of a foreign VIP near Lanseria International Airport over the weekend.

A 57-year-old man was arrested this past weekend for reckless and negligent driving.

This after he allegedly interfered with a motorcade convoy that was escorting a foreign VIP dignitary to Lanseria International Airport on Sunday morning, February 4.

The man is expected to appear before the Krugersdorp Magistrate’s Court today, February 5.

According to a statement issued by the police, the man was warned by traffic officials and police members escorting the VIP to stay away from the convoy but he allegedly ignored warning signs.

Furthermore, he allegedly tried to enter the motorcade and on his third attempt, police pulled him over and arrested him.
