Man sought in wallet theft investigation

Police say the man pictured may know who swiped a woman's wallet in a U-Save.

The West Rand Police are looking for a man who was present when a woman’s wallet containing cash and her cards were nabbed.

A statement from Captain Solomon Sibiya said the police are looking for the man who was at a U-Save in Munsieville at about 14:10 on January 19 when the woman’s wallet was stolen.

“The victim was buying groceries and realised that her handbag was opened, and her wallet had been stolen. This man in the picture witnessed the incident as he earlier spoke to the victim.”

The police asked that anyone who recognise the man please call the investigating officer, Detective Warrant Officer Langa on 066 073 1073.
