Pronto Constructions rebuilds family home devastated by fire

Pronto Construction would also like to thank the team and their contractors who helped rebuild Nnana’s home.

The Matli family’s house in Lewisham has been rebuilt after a devastating fire gutted their home in 2023.

A house key handover ceremony took place on August 9 and was a beautiful Women’s Day gift for the owner, Nnana Matli.

Talking about the disaster, Nnana explained the fire, which began on the evening of November 17, 2023, destroyed almost everything, leaving the family with only the clothing they had on.

“There was a little rain that evening and the lightning struck the alarm system, that’s when the house caught fire and it started burning from the roof spreading to the rest of the house.”

She further elaborated that she and her son were sleeping when the fire started but she is glad they were able to get out of the house in time and unharmed.

Despite the disaster, the family, supported by Pronto Construction, has turned their loss into an opportunity for a fresh start. The house, once a charred shell, has been completely transformed into a modern and comfortable home, thanks to months of hard work and determination. The house’s exterior, which was once marred by soot, now boasts a fresh coat of paint and a newly landscaped garden, making it a beautiful house in the neighbourhood.

“The family reported that the lighting hit the alarm in the main bedroom and set the house on fire during a storm. We have found that the house was destroyed, as it was a total loss,” said CEO of Pronto Construction, Gerrit van Niekerk.

He added they provide unparalleled construction solutions backed by years of experience and expertise to clients around Gauteng and Johannesburg.

What began as a humble endeavour for Gerrit and his team, has since flourished into a reputable construction firm renowned for its commitment to quality, integrity, and client satisfaction.

“With a diverse team of skilled contractors and industry experts, we offer a comprehensive range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients,” Gerrit said.

He adds that their purpose is to build a proud legacy of excellence and do what they do with passion.

“Whether it’s a small-scale renovation or a large-scale commercial project, we approach each undertaking with the same level of dedication and commitment to quality craftsmanship.”

Nnana mentioned that she is very happy with how the house turned out.

“They have met my expectations. My house is brand new and looks more beautiful than before,” added Nnana.

The family is looking forward to creating new memories in their home, grateful for the second chance they have been given as they settle back into their newly restored house.
