EPR Security’s latest incident report shows that the company responded to 38 calls between June 27 and July 3. Most of these were theft and most of the incidents happened in the Krugersdorp CBD.
Theft topped the list with 16 incidents, followed by nine incidents of damage to property and seven break-ins. The company also responded to two robberies and one incident each of trespassing, an open door, an inquest and a medical emergency.
While 11 of these were reported in the Krugersdorp CBD, another four were reported in Noordheuwel, and three in Vlakplaas. Two incidents each were reported in Eljeesee, Krugersdorp West, Witpoortjie and Kenmare, with one incident each reported in West Village, Krugersdorp North, Rant-en-Dal, Grobler Park, Vlakdrift, Monument, Beckedan, Luipaardsvlei, Kromdraai, Princess, Rangeview and Protea Ridge.
Nineteen of these incidents were reported at businesses and 18 at residences, with only one incident being reported at a school.
