Key West robbery: Hunt is on for four suspects involved

Police are looking for four robbers who left the scene in a grey Mercedes-Benz during a cross-pavement CIT robbery at Key West Shopping Centre on Monday.

Four suspects are wanted by Gauteng Police in connection with Monday’s robbery at Key West Shopping Centre.

The centre’s management confirmed that a Capitec branch was the target of an armed robbery on Monday afternoon, April 11.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Robert Netshiunda meanwhile confirmed the four suspects were wanted for robbing an undisclosed amount of money during what they call a cross-pavement cash-in-transit (CIT) robbery at the said shopping centre.

It is reported that two security guards had just alighted from the cash truck and were walking towards the ATM when they were accosted by four men, three of them armed with pistols.”

The thugs allegedly also robbed the guards of their two firearms before leaving the scene in a grey Mercedes-Benz with registration number WLF670GP.
