LETTER: Water woes, unfixed roads: Nothing gets fixed in West Village

Our roads don't even get fixed. Nothing gets done here – another concerned West Village resident.

• Concerned resident from West Village writes:

I would like to raise a big issue.

We as West Village residents are dealing with a water mess.

We have a water tower that needs to be filled with water every day by a generator from Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) that operates from 17:00 to 21:00.

Some days they come late and leave early, and that makes the situation worse. Some days we don’t have any water.

I understand there is an outstanding account from West Rand Power to MCLM, or the other way around. Now we the residents of WV suffer.

Our roads don’t even get fixed. Nothing gets done here.

Can you perhaps help with the situation? If so, it will be highly appreciated.

The News has approached MCLM for comment on the matter where Adrian Amod, MCLM’s communications representative said, “Your enquiry is noted. The enquiry has been escalated to relevant colleagues in Utilities Management and a response will be provided as soon as received.”
