Covid-19 vaccine: 211 390 individuals fully vaccinated in the West Rand

A total of 6 327 506 Covid-19 vaccinations have been administered in the Gauteng Province as of November 10. The total number of individuals vaccinated is at 4 133 983 with 3 239 588 individuals being fully vaccinated.

In the West Rand, which comprises of Mogale City, Rand West City and Merafong City, 418 877 vaccinations have been administered, with 211 390 individuals fully vaccinated.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg, 2 764 235 vaccines have been administered with 1 367 767 individuals fully vaccinated.

All persons older than 12 years old are encouraged to visit their nearest vaccination site to receive the jab. It is thought that vaccinating 70% or more of the adult population can minimise the impact of the fourth wave.
