The West Rand Health District continues testing in Mogale City

Members of the community can get tested at any of these sites this coming week.

The West Rand District Health department will continue with free services at their pop-up stations around Mogale City this week.

These services include Covid-19 testing and screening, bereavement visits, HIV and TB testing, and issuing chronic medication, among others.

Between July 25 and 31 these teams screened 6 060 people for Covid-19 and tested 654; and they tested 3 758 for HIV, three of whom tested positive and were referred to a clinic. They screened 5 140 for TB, all of whom were asymptomatic. They screened 4 845 people for hypertension and 4 600 for diabetes.

• On Monday, August 2 the team will be at Swaneville Taxi rank (Ward 1)
• On Tuesday, August 3 the team will be at West Village (Ward 26)
• On Wednesday, August 4 the team will be at the open space at the Green hostel (Ward 9)
• On Thursday, August 5 the team will be at the Tsakane Open park (Ward 9)
• On Friday, August 6 the team will be at the Mogale Junction Village (Ward 26)

Residents can also make use of any of these services at their local clinics.

Those wishing to get their Covid-19 vaccine can visit any of these sites between 08:00 and 15:00 this week.
