Miss SA Teen finalist collecting donations for the SPCA

The SPCA Roodepoort is desperately asking for any old blankets, towels, pillows or any pieces of material or even bathroom or door mats.

Miss SA Teen 2nd Princess, Dominique Dos Ramos is no stranger to collecting donations, blankets, clothes and food for the SPCA Roodepoort.

As the temperatures have dropped towards zero, the Monument High School Grade 12 learner is pleading to the communities of Roodepoort and Krugersdorp to donate any old blankets, towels, pillows or any pieces of material or even bathroom or door mats to help keep the animals warm.

According to Dominique, the SPCA and other animal shelters are in panic stations, as many people who are out of work are dropping off their cats and dogs at the SPCA as they cannot afford to feed them.

“There are not enough beds and blankets to keep these animals warm at night. Please think of the poor dogs and cats that must endure this terrible cold at night,” said Dominique.

Dominique will collect anything that can be donated by the community to improve the quality of the animals’ lives.

“It does not matter if it is old and torn blankets or towels, it will be used. Thank you in advance, your contributions will be very highly appreciated.”

Members of the community who would like to donate any of the needed items is encouraged to contact 082 255 1550 to arrange for a collection.
