Johan Krogh, EPR Security’s general manager explained there were three armed robberies and various other crimes reported in Mogale City over the long weekend.
With 16 incidents in total being reported, four of them occurred on Friday, 19 March. These include an assault at a business in Chamdor and a vehicle theft in Shannon Road in Noordheuwel.
Another four incidents were reported on Saturday, 20 March. The EPR team responded to one medical incident, a robbery in Tarlton, open doors at a school in Tarlton and damage to property in Krugersdorp North.
On Sunday, 21 March, the teams responded to another damage to property incident as well as a housebreaking in Noordheuwel, a robbery in Luipaardsvlei and a theft in West Village.
Monday, 22 March, was quieter but another damage to property incident was reported this time in Krugersdorp West, as well as another housebreaking in Noordhweuwel and a robbery in Kagiso.
Krogh urged business owners to be vigilant, especially around closing times.
