Bakkie-sedan crash leaves two dead near West Village
Saturday night crash in Krugersdorp leaves two people dead, another two injured.
A man and woman died while two other men sustained injuries following a collision between a bakkie and a sedan on the R28 near West Village on Saturday night, 29 August.
Shawn Herbst, Netcare 911 spokesperson said they responded to reports of a collision at about 8.17pm.
“Reports from the scene indicate that a sedan and a bakkie were involved in a collision, resulting in one of the vehicles catching alight. The Krugersdorp Fire and Rescue Services, however, managed to douse the flames.
“Medics assessed the patients and found that two adults, a man and a woman had sustained fatal injuries and were sadly declared deceased on the scene.
“Another two male patients had sustained serious injuries and once treated were transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment.”
