CCTV footage shows hijacking at service station

Muldersdrift Police have confirmed that a case of hijacking has been opened following an incident in Featherbrook on Thursday evening.

Muldersdrift Police have confirmed that a case of hijacking has been opened and an investigation is under way after an incident at the Featherbrook Sasol garage.

The hijacking, which was caught on camera, happened at about 6.30pm on Thursday, 16 July.

Muldersdrift Police station commander, Colonel Setlhare said the victim stopped at the garage to have his Audi S3 filled with petrol. A Mercedes-Benz stopped at another pump and three men jumped out. They pointed firearms at the victim and the petrol attendant.

The video shows the victim being dragged out of the vehicle and searched.

One of the hijackers then jumped into the car, and both the Audi and the Mercedes-Benz are seen speeding off while the victim can be seen walking away.
