Two sought for raping West Village settlement woman

The victim was able to describe the rapists well enough for identity kit pictures to be compiled.

The Krugersdorp Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) unit have released identity kit pictures of two assailants following a rape that occurred on 21 April at the Makhulugama informal settlement in West Village.

The victim was on her way to her home somewhere in West Village when two unknown men suddenly came out of the bushes and grabbed her, and then took turns raping her.

One of the assailants slapped her and instructed her not to scream. The perpetrators fled the scene on foot. The matter was reported to the police and the case was registered.

Both assailants spoke English, both are estimated to be 1,65 metres tall, of medium build, and dark in complexion. They were both wearing khaki pants and are about 29 years old. They are still at large and the police are still investigating the crime.
