#KrugersdorpMurders — Cecilia Steyn mostly denying the allegations against her

She is considered to be the mastermind behind the 11 murders, yet Cecilia Steyn denied most of what was testified against her.

The trial of the remaining three accused in the Krugersdorp murders case, Cecilia Steyn, Marcel Steyn and Zac Valentine, continued in the South Gauteng High Court this week with Cecilia taking the stand.

Cecilia start off by denying almost everything the State is questioning her about. News journalist, Natasha Pretorius, is reporting from the court where Cecilia was questioned about her prescription from Dr Brown’s started, since he did not prescribe the oxygen.

She said that she was on oxygen with a nebulizer, which could be seen during many court appearances.
The questioning continued about the faking of Zak Valentine’s death, which she denied being involved in. She answered that she only found out much later and wanted to make sure that it was Zak’s body in the burnt-out car and even suggested DNA tests.

It came to light that Cecilia and her husband at the time made several loans to the amount of R600 000 from African Bank for Zak to invest in Forex. “He [Zak] didn’t have any losses. He was very careful,” Cecilia said when speaking of the Forex trading. There was no paperwork and Cecilia lived off the Forex gains.

A transfer was made to Cecelia’s account, labelled ‘Cape Town conference transfer’, in the amount of R27 000 in August 2015. “I have no idea what that was for,” Cecilia said.

When asked if “Lilith” was one of her many personalities, Cecilia answered that she didn’t know, but, “She might be.”
Cecilia’s many tattoos were discussed; an eye, a dragon, a spider on a web and Egyptian symbols for Anubis and Isis on her left wrist; a tree of life, wings, sun and moon on her chest; and a sun, moon, skull, dragon, wolf, and samurai mask on her right arm, to name a few.

“The spider on a web is a symbol of patience. Nothing is as patient as a spider,” and, “The dragon is the same as Angelina Jolie’s. I liked that,” Cecilia said.

She said she was not aware that during ‘high nights’ – when she experienced fits – they would place their hands over her mouth and ears to stop spirits from entering her body, as was testified by Ria Grunewald.

Cecilia claimed that she and Grunewald were involved in a romantic relationship from 2008 to 2010, which Grunewald denied during her testimony. She said they split up because Grunewald became possessive and did not want Cecilia too closely involved with her family.

Moving on, Cecilia did not want to answer questions relating to the childhood trauma that is said to be the cause of her Dissociative Identity Disorder (also known as a multiple personality disorder).
“When you can’t run away, your mind runs away,” Cecelia said.

Furthermore, Cecelia said that allegations of having supernatural powers were a lie. The opposing lawyer incredulously said that, then, it was only a conspiracy against her by all witnesses who testified before her.

“I do not have a spiritual eye, no.” Cecilia denied being able to “see light over someone” and stated that she does not have a ‘third eye’. She also denied having baptised anyone.

On allegations of supernatural powers, Cecilia said, “That’s what Grunewald told them I can do. I can’t do those things.”
Soon thereafter, the questioning of Cecilia Steyn came to an end.
