[BREAKING NEWS] Attempted CIT heist in Krugersdorp CBD

Four suspects were seen fleeing the area.

News journalist Bianca Pindral is currently in the Krugersdorp CBD following up on reports of a cash in transit (CIT) heist that took place earlier this morning (4 June).

According to Facebook posts, shots were fired in the vicinity of the Shell service station on Pretoria Street near President Square.

Four suspects in a white Toyota Hilux were seen fleeing the area. They were heading towards the N14.

It is not yet clear if the suspects managed to get away with any money or if anyone was injured.

Emergency services, police and other authorities are currently on the scene where the CIT vehicle was allegedly ambushed.
