Man wakes up to armed robbers

A 57-year-old man was tied up and robbed in his West Village home.

A 57-year-old man had a rude awakening when he opened his eyes and saw a firearm being pointed at him.

The man was asleep in his home in West Village when two unknown males woke him at approximately 2.30am on Tuesday 26 July.

The two suspects then tied up his hands and feet with rope before ransacking his house.

“The suspects stole a television, cellphone and laptop before fleeing the scene on foot. Fortunately no shots were fired and no injuries were reported,” Krugersdorp Police spokesperson, Sergeant Tshepiso Mashale said.

Krugersdorp Police are appealing to the community to assist them with information that could help the investigating officer arrest the suspects involved.
