One killed and eight others injured in morning accidents
Two motor vehicle accidents occurred near this notorious intersection today.
An elderly woman sadly lost her life after being hit by a car on Paardekraal Drive in Krugersdorp, while eight others were left injured in two separate accidents this morning.
Eight people were injured after the driver of the truck they were travelling in apparently lost control of the vehicle. The truck, which was also pulling a trailer, overturned on the N14 near the Pinehaven crossing. Most of the occupants were thrown out of the vehicle.
ER24 paramedics found that all the injuries sustained ranged from minor to serious. Four of the occupants were transported to hospital for further treatment
The cause of the latter incident is still unknown and local authorities were on scene for further investigation.
