Bail application in session

Three suspects accused of the Krugersdorp triple murder claim police assaulted them for statements regarding the crimes.

The bail application of the Krugersdorp triple murder case kicked off on a high note this morning.

Da Silva, who represents three of the accused, went head to head with Magistrate Delize Smith regarding the media coverage of the case.

The second accused, aged 32, declined the to apply for bail while the other three accused proceeded. Accused one, Christiaan Kruger, and brother and sister Leroux (20) and Marcelle (18) Steyn said in their statements they are not guilty and have still not pleaded at this time.

A full court house at the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court anxiously awaits the verdict of the bail application by Smith.
