They celebrated Kevin’s life

Friends, family and colleagues said their last goodbyes to Kevin McAlpine this afternoon.

A bed of yellow roses covered the coffin of Kevin Mc Alpine who was laid to rest earlier today.

The Suiderlig Church in Krugersdorp West was filled to capacity as friends, family, colleagues and school pupils paid their last respects to a man they all love and respect.

A long row of cars drove slowly into Sterkfontein Cemetery where he was laid to rest at around lunch time, today 3 June.

His coffin was carried to the grave by a few close friends and family while the under 14 rugby team from Monument High School, which he coached on the side, stood in a tunnel at the grave.

The pastor said a few words before he ended the ceremony by reading Psalm 23 from The Bible.

Family was then invited to place a yellow rose on the coffin followed by friends. The rugby team then circled around the grave and gave one last cheer.
