ID kits released in Meyer couple murder

Police are seeking information of a man and woman linked to the murder of Joan and Peter Meyer.

Krugersdorp police’s detectives are urgently requesting assistance in the tracing of two people who might be able to shed light in the murder of Joan and Peter Meyer in their Noordheuwel home last year.

The investigation into the murder is receiving the highest attention and the investigating officer supplied the following ID kits to the News:

• ID KIT 1 is of a white male, with a light complexion, believed to be between the ages of 30-40. He is approximately 1,88 metres tall and of medium build with short hair. He was wearing a dark brown/ black leather jacket at the time and is Afrikaans speaking.

• ID KIT 2 is of a white female, also light in complexion and believed to be between the ages of 35-40. She is approximately 1,68-1,7 metres tall. She has a slender build and has long hair. She is also Afrikaans speaking.

“These people might be able to assist the investigating officer in tracking down the suspect/s, since they allegedly had a meeting with the couple on the day of the murders,” Krugersdorp Cluster spokesperson, Captain Appel Ernst said.

Anyone with information is requested should contact the Krugersdorp Police on 011 951 1121 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or alternatively sms the Crime Line on 32211.

Information can also be given in person by visiting the Krugersdorp Police station. Information will be treated with the necessary confidentiality.
