15 years for killing lover’s wife

A romantic rendezvous for two quickly got heated when his wife arrived at the Dros in 2012.

Odette Botha finally was sentenced after stabbing and killing her lover’s wife at a local restaurant.

It was a normal romantic rendezvous for Botha and her lover Nick de Koker at the Dros in Krugersdorp until his wife and child showed up.

Things quickly got heated and Botha stabbed Tracey de Koker to death in 2012.

Paramedics were called to the scene where Tracey was pronounced dead.

It is believed that Tracey was aware of the affair between her husband and Botha, which is why she went to the Dros on the day.

It is alleged the lovers frequently met behind Tracey’s back and even were spotted dining at a popular restaurant in Randfontein.

An informant told the News the flat in Randfontein in which Botha stayed suddenly was empty at the end of January.

Botha finally was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment on 12 January in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court.

Botha has noted an appeal against her conviction as well as her sentence with the High Court of South Africa Gauteng Division, Johannesburg.
