Murdered couple’s case still under investigation

Strange circumstances surround the investigation of the Meyer couple's murder as no arrests have been made yet.

More than two months have passed and still no arrests have been made after the Meyer couple was brutally murdered in their Noordheuwel home last year.

Peter and Joan Meyer were found stabbed to death on 27 November in their home with barely any evidence left behind by the suspects.

Before they were killed, the couple bought property for a water park in KwaZulu-Natal, which they were to develop into the largest water park in South Africa.

Many comments on the initial article which featured on the News’ Facebook page suggested that the killing was a hit rather than an armed robbery since nothing was stolen from the house.

The News also learned that the main investigator on the case was transferred to another Krugersdorp branch after the suspension of a Krugersdorp top cop.

As there is still a lot of public interest in this mysterious case, the News has contacted the Krugersdorp Police station for an update, which will be published as soon as it has been received.
