"This will only be investigated if someone sustained injuries."

Mogale City’s Traffic Department spokesperson, Papi Motaung, said that when they arrived at the scene, no one was behind the wheel.

CPF members notified the Traffic Department, but no arrests were made when they arrived at the scene in town.

“Everyone was standing outside the car. We had no evidence that proved the underage girl was driving,” Motaung said.

The traffic official helped escort the passengers of the white hatchback to the Krugersdorp police station.

Motaung said that if they found an underage driver, given permission by the parent to drive, the parent could be charged a R500 fine.

Police spokesperson, Sergeant Tshepiso Mashale, said that a case such as this will only be investigated if someone sustained injuries.

It is not yet clear if the driver of the damaged car has opened a case against the alleged teenager, but Motaung said that it appeared like the two already knew each other.
