Parents lie about addict son’s whereabouts

A young man was found with various drug paraphernalia in his pockets.

At the beginning of the year, Sector 9 Community Policing Forum members made a drug bust at a family home.

On Monday night (4 January) CPF members responded on information received about drug use in Mindalore.

When they entered the home, a man and woman said their son had been arrested and they do not know where their son is.

Because the drugs already had been confiscated, the members thought they would not find anything more. However, they found needles, marijuana and other drug paraphernalia.

The couple’s 35-year-old son was found in the back yard with more needles in his pockets.

It is believed the man is a drug addict owing to his previous arrests.

According to Sector 9 CPF, drugs is still a major issue in the Mindalore and Lewisham areas.
