Leratong warns of employment scam

The hospital requests members of the community not to pay anyone for jobs.

Leratong Hospital’s management would like to warn members of the community about an individual who allegedly is operating an employment scam, using the hospital’s name in and around the West Rand area.

“It is has been brought to the hospital’s attention that the perpetrator is requesting job seekers to pay R1 500 to secure employment at the institution,” Fikile Oyekanmi, senior communication officer of Leratong said in a press statement.

The hospital requests members of the community not to pay anyone for jobs. When there are vacancies to be filled, posts will be advertised and selections will be made from the applications received.

“This criminal act is condemned strongly and the victims of this scam should report the matter to the police so the allegations can be investigated thoroughly and perpetrators can be brought to justice.”
