Officer goes the extra mile

A police spokesperson educated various lodge staff members about crime before the silly season kicks off.

Warrant Officer and spokesperson of Muldersdrift SAPS Hitler Ngwenya recently hosted an awareness campaign at Glenburn Lodge on 11 November.

The campaign focused on topics that included domestic violence, substance and drug abuse.

The message was positively received by the employees of the lodge who participated in a question and answer discussion.

Another topic that was discussed was the upcoming 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Woman and Children.

“I applaud the management of the lodge for the partnership we have with them in the fight against crime. I also encouraged our members during parades to often visit all hotels and lodges around our area in order to prevent crimes from occurring as we approached the festive season,” Ngwenya concluded.
