Members of the Sector 3 CPF were deployed to the scene after the incident was reported on the two-radio system.

On arrival the passengers of the vehicle were already freed and staff members from the school along with parents jumped in to extinguish the fire.

It is believed the petrol in the engine somehow caught alight.

Minutes later Mogale City’s Emergency Management Services fire truck arrived.

Fortunately no animals or passengers were harmed during the incident.
