CCTV footage shows beggars stealing
Beggars by day, criminals by night caught on camera.
Residents of a block of flats in Krugersdorp North allegedly have become the target of a blonde beggar who has been caught on CCTV sneaking around.
Three residents of the Jay Centre in Fourth Street approached the News about the beggar who often is seen in the area.
Last week the residents fell prey to criminals breaking into a vehicle in the flats’ parking lot. They also stole a toolbox from a resident’s scooter and drained the petrol from its tank.
The beggar along with an accomplice allegedly also attempted to steal the spare tyre of another resident’s vehicle.
From another car they managed to steal clothes, a tin of oil, a wheel spanner and jack.
Another resident claimed the beggars attempted to steal her car battery as the following morning she found all the screws being untied.
Residents allegedly identified the person captured on the CCTV footage as the blonde beggar who frequents this area, carrying his blankets and a bag.
The beggar and his accomplice are described as between the ages of 20 and 30. One wears a white T-shirt and the other a striped golf shirt.
The residents of the block of flats warn the community against the beggars who cheat you out of your money on street corners during the day and target your belongings by night.
