Support Cupcakes of Hope at Key West

Making people aware of the early warning signs is vital and for only R10 a cupcake you can help make a huge difference.

This year National Cupcake Day 4 Kids with Cancer will be on 26 September.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and stages this event as part of their main fundraiser. Cupcakes of Hope is a non-profit organisation with a mission to create awareness of the early warning signs of childhood cancer and supporting families who have been affected by childhood cancer by raising funds.

70 malls across South Africa participate to raise funds to help children battling with cancer. This year Key West shopping centre is on the list too.

These funds are used to help with financial burdens such as medical expenses and other day-to-day costs such as transport, food hampers, school fees, birthday celebrations etc.

This is done through their love of baking cupcakes. The funds raised to date have helped more than 350 children. They also donate to 15 other charities such as Choc, Cansa, TLC and The Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital.

Anyone can become a Cupcake Angel – it is by far the sweetest way to save a life. They also do hospital visits and host little birthday parties for cancer warriors. Cupcake Angels show true love and compassion, their only requirement is that the cupcakes donated are made with love.
