“I will kill you” corrupt cop said

"Do you want to die tonight, I will kill you," one of the constables said before taking a bribe.

Two constables from the Krugersdorp police station were arrested this morning, 1 September, following an alleged bribery situation which took place earlier this year.

It is believed that earlier this year, the constables pulled over two vehicles in Krugersdorp North and demanded a bribe from the young occupants who were on their way home from the Keg at Key West Shopping Center.

After pulling over both vehicles, the drivers of the vehicles were instructed to get out where they were called to the side by the constables.

While the drivers were called to the side for an alleged bribe, the other constable threatened the passengers with their lives.

The constable allegedly asked one of the passengers “Do you want to die tonight, I will kill you,” while he pulled the handbrake down to move the vehicle forward.

The driver of the other vehicle was then instructed to go and withdraw a R1 000 for each car at the FNB ATM around the corner.

On his arrival back, the driver was instructed to put the R2 000 on the seat of the police van where their driver’s licenses were placed.
