Operation stops criminals in their tracks

Four suspects were arrested in a road block for being in possession of theft implements during an operation.

The Krugersdorp Cluster Police stopped and arrested suspects in their tracks during a road block.

At approximately 11am on 19 August the officers arrested four suspects on the R41 in Kagiso during a road block in partnership with Operation Basadi.

The four suspects aged between 24 and 26 years were driving in a blue Mazda when police instructed the driver of the vehicle to pull over.

The vehicle and suspects were search and police found a bolt cutter, screw driver and remote control in their possession.

“When the police questioned them about the equipment and the purpose thereof, the suspects failed to answer,” Warrant Officer, Solomon Sibiya, spokesperson for the Kagiso police station, said.

The police immediately arrested and detained them at the Kagiso police station.

“A case docket of possession of house breaking and car hijacking/ theft implements was opened and registered at Kagiso police station.”
