[PHOTOS] Learning is child’s play

Children and parents came out to play at preschool's sports day.

Some 55 children from the Montessori Mischief preschool met at the Khosa Sports Club for a fun day in the winter sun.

Children between the ages of two and six years old along with their parents battled it out on the mini race track in various challenges.

The fun kicked off with a spoon-and-egg race, followed by a three-legged race where parents joined in.

Next followed the traditional sack-race which made way for the much anticipated sprints.

Here parents waited for their little one’s at the finish line as they cheered them on as they run, hop or even walk down the mini racetrack.

The younger children raced down the tracks on plastic bikes as the crowd of proud parents, family and friends cheered.

Other activities included target shooting, horseshoe aiming, pillow fighting and mini fishing, where children also had the chance of winning prizes.

The day was filled with friendly sportsmanship between parents and lots of giggles among the children.
