11th body found at Manie Mulder

A CPF patroller was shocked by the discovery of a naked body at the infamous waterfall.

The 11th body was discovered at the Manie Mulder Adventure Park over the long weekend.

Early on Saturday morning, 8 August, members of the Sector 8 Community Policing Forum (CPF) along with ER24 and local police were called to the scene where yet another body was discovered on the rocks at the waterfall in the kloof.

While patrolling in the kloof, a sector 7 and 8 patroller was shocked after she nearly stepped on a naked body hidden in the rocks close to the waterfall.

The body of a male was found with his clothes on the other end of the waterfall.

The deceased is believed to be a member of the ZCC Church who makes use of the waterfall for various of spiritual rituals.

It is believed that the deceased was spotted at the waterfall the previous day and was warned to be careful at the waterfall.

The deceased told the park security that he had been called to the waterfall by her ancestors.

As a safety precaution the Sector 8 CPF regularly patrol the kloof to create visibility in the area and the clean up at the waterfall.

Paramedics on the scene told the detective the cause of death is possibly due to hypothermia as the person died due to the cold.

Forensics services arrived soon after and the body was removed from the kloof.

CPF 8 urges residents to take precaution when visiting the waterfall and not to use it as a swimming or cleansing facility.
