355 arrested for breaking the law

The Krugersdrop Cluster Police shows no mercy for criminals.

355 suspects were arrested as members from the Krugersdorp Cluster Police launched various crime prevention operations last month.

Members of the police along with those of Mogale City’s Traffic Department and the Department of Home Affairs held various crime prevention operations within the Krugersdorp Cluster under the stewardship of Major General Anna Mateisi.

Suspects were arrested for offenses that ranged from hijacking to house and business robbery, common robbery, possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition, possession of drugs, selling illicit cigarettes, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and undocumented foreign nationals.

Minor offences included shoplifting and common assault.

According to Constable Lucky Matome, Mateisi thanked all the roll players who participated in the operation in the cluster.

“Without all of you these operations wouldn’t have been such a success. Well done team,” Mateisi concluded.
