Quickie: Burglars in and out of sex shop

It was a blue Monday for a well-known pleasure and sex shop in Ockerse Street when they were burgled around midnight last night.

In the Adult World shop toys, videos and paper littered the messy path the criminals left after gaining access to the shop through the small bathroom window on the side of the shop.

It is believed the sound of the alarm had caused the criminals to panic as in their haste they left behind the grinder they used to gain access.

The shop safe along with the till were demolished by the criminals who managed to get away with an undisclosed amount of cash and other merchandise.

Temptation got the better of the burglars who also tried to steal various kinds of condoms, pills and poisons. All these were scattered in the alley next to the shop as they made their great escape over a fenced gate.

Workers at the shop claimed it to be the second burglary in the last seven years.

The management of the shop is looking at tightening security.
