Rollover accident leaves one injured

A woman is currently recovering from injuries sustained after a vehicle rolled over on the R28.

A woman was injured following an accident in West Village on the R28, heading towards Randfontein, last night (28 June).

Santi Steinmann, Netcare 911’s spokesperson, said paramedics arrived at the scene and found a motor vehicle that had left the road, rolled and came to a standstill back on its wheels approximately 50 metres from the road.

“Upon assessment of the occupants, paramedics found a woman had sustained serious injuries during the rollover accident,” she said.

The injured woman was treated at the scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.

Exact detail surrounding the cause of the rollover accident will remain under police investigation.

The News contacted local authorities, who have not yet heard of the accident occurring. A follow up article will be published once more information comes to light.
