Uncle faces charges against nephew

An argument ensued between an uncle, his son and nephew which led to threats being made using a firearm.

A 41-year-old man was arrested on Sunday 21 June by the Kagiso Police after he allegedly pointed a firearm at his nephew.

Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya said it is alleged that an argument ensued between the complainant, his cousin and uncle.

“The uncle stood up and ordered the complainant to be quiet before making serious threats that either him or the complainant will die.”

Sibiya said he then went into his bedroom where he fetched his firearm which he pointed in the direction of the complainant.

The matter was thereafter reported to by the police which led to the arrest of the complainant’s uncle.

He is been detained at the Kagiso Police Station and will be making a brief appearance in the Kagiso Magistrates’ Court facing charges of pointing a firearm.
