Meet the ambassadors of Tekkie Tax 2015

Swap your high heels for a pair of tekkies and support Tekkie Tax Day with a handful of celebrities.

Forget about all the petrol price spikes and other tariffs and pay tax for a good cause by wearing your tekkies proudly.

This year the campaign has exciting new ambassadors that have joined forces to promote the annual Tekkie Tax Day on 29 May.

The Tekkie Tax fundraising campaign is proud to announce that Guillaume Marais will be the business ambassador in the 2015 campaign for the education sector of Tekkie Tax.

Annelise de Jager, patron of Tekkie Tax said, “We are thrilled to have him on board. It is heart-warming to see that a prominent business man like Guillaume, supports our work.”

“Guillaume Marais is the CEO of Indgro Holdings but also a visionary, different in so many ways. As a Serial Entrepreneur, an international speaker and coach, he has an unparalleled desire to constantly innovate and grow with a hungry quest to unlock more value. This is an inherent part of the fabric that runs through both his personal and business lives,” said Annelise.

The project is also supported by five well-known South African celebrities this year, each one of them representing a sector of service delivery in Tekkie Tax.

Afrikaans rapper Jack Parow is the Animal celebrity ambassador, Master Chef star Sade Giliberti the Basic Family Care celebrity, Sorina Erasmus (the Flooze) the Children celebrity ambassador, much loved Expresso presenter Katlego Maboe represents the Disability sector and the queen of dance, Tebogo Kgobokoe, is the celebrity for the Education sector.

“The task of a great leader is not to put greatness into people, it is to elicit it, for greatness is there already,” said Guillaume.

You can choose to support animals, basic family care, children, disability or education by wearing a Tekkie Tax sticker for a R10 donation from any of the participating welfare organisations, Toys R Us or Reggies store.
