While a Kagiso man was asleep, he was attacked with a knife – by his wife.
Solomon Sibiya, a police spokesperson said the husband arrived home in the early hours of the morning where he found his wife busy in the kitchen.
He then asked her if she had cooked the meat he had bought the previous day but she never responded where after he went to bed.
“While asleep his wife attacked him using a knife. He allegedly tried to flee but lost consciousness and fell down.”
Sibiya said the man’s wife continued to stab the complainant until he was rescued by his son who rushed him to hospital.
The complainant sustained multiple stab wounds to his upper body and his neck.
Sibiya said the suspect has been arrested and detained at the Kagiso Police Station where she will be kept until she makes her appearance in the Kagiso Magistrates’ Court for attempted murder.
