Prostitute and pimp caught red-handed

After numerous attempts at rehabilitation, a local sex worker and addict is back on the streets again.

A ‘woman of the night’ was caught doing ‘business’ in broad daylight in a condemned house in Luipaard Street.

Members of the Sector 4 Community Policing Forum (CPF) along with Mogale City Traffic Department officials, Krugersdorp police members and the drug squad took to the streets of Krugersdorp again for their monthly clean-up raid. This time the news was invited to tag along.

Entering the grey condemned house in Luipaard Street on Friday 28 November, the news walked in as sex worker Sam and her so-called pimp Stoffel quickly got dressed after being caught in a compromising position.

She vulgarly cursed at the news and raid officials as she tried to conceal her identity by hiding under a blanket.

It is alleged that this sex worker, originally from Cape Town, had spent some time at The Bethany House, a local orphanage, and later lived at the Cradle of Hope, a centre for abused women and children, on two different occasions.

“I am so sad to hear that she is back on the streets again,” said Melody van Brakel, founder of Cradle of Hope, when the news told her about the incident.

Although Sam has been sent to rehab a number of times, it would seem she simply could not break away from the claws of drugs.

It is believed that she is using the drug nyaope, which is a combination of heroin, cocaine, crack, rocks and any other harmful chemicals addicts can lay their hands on.

This mixed powder is then smoked from of a glass pipe or can be rolled into a marijuana joint.
